“I myself started my studies in Japanese therapies in a certificate program many years ago. It was not nearly as complete a training as the one now offered at TJAI, and I wish I had had such a start as these students are getting. I am amazed and delighted that TJAI managed to pull together such a thorough and diversified training. It includes bodywork, moxibustion, needle techniques, history, structural acupuncture approaches, classical components, shiraku, the eight extraordinary vessels, pediatrics, hands-on work with outside patients every module, review sessions, and a variety of what might be called "organizing ideas," i.e., not all teachers share the Meridian Therapy perspective. Beyond having lined up excellent teachers, TJAI has also given good thought to the educational side of the program with clear learning objectives in each module. Nothing like this has ever existed in North America before. Anyone at all interested in working gently and effectively should sign up for this program!”

Master Practitioner/Instructor of Traditional Japanese Acupuncture

Former Chair of Acupuncture, New York College of Health Professions

“Coming to live on Long Island twenty two years ago, I found there was hardly any knowledge of acupuncture and moxibustion as practiced in Japan. In fact, the reason I had been recruited was to introduce the systems I had become familiar with while living in Japan. I quickly found that there was a real interest in these subtle approaches rooted solidly in the early Chinese classics. For several years I was able, with the help of a core group, to bring eminent masters from Japan, as well as the top instructors in the USA, to Long Island to present seminars. While these events certainly gave interested parties much to bring to their practice, it had always been my dream to organize a complete training program featuring the very best teachers of the various branches of Japanese Medicine. Recently, Mr. Mark Petruzzi, a first class practitioner and teacher himself, has realized my dream and brought together a wealth of talent to present a fully comprehensive program in Traditional Japanese healing modalities. The first program was a resounding success and participants have been able to immediately integrate what they have learned into their daily clinical practice with excellent results. I would like to commend Mr. Petruzzi for the stellar work he has done in coordinating this time consuming project and for being able to bring the very best instructors together to make it work. I would strongly urge anyone who has the intention of taking their knowledge, level of skill and clinical effectiveness to the next level to sign up and reap the benefits this program has to offer.”

“If you would like to further cultivate your palpatory skills in acupuncture, this amazing program is for you.

This compassionate approach to treating the body is so very effective, gentle and yet powerful.  Eight different masters not only demonstrate their particular expertise in techniques, but help you experience them by very close hands on instruction.  Not only have my own needling techniques become more subtle and effective, but I have learned other invaluable skills  such as sotai, teishin and listening to a patient's body that I now use with confidence on a daily basis.

I am so grateful to have participated in The Traditional Japanese Master Acupuncture Program.
This program is worth the time and monetary investment. Outstandingly organized and professional, this program is a once in a lifetime opportunity to cultivate your understanding of acupuncture and yourself.”
